At Idlwilde Inn, we believe in the power of sustainable practices to enhance our guests’ experience. As a sustainable hotel in upstate NY, we’re dedicated to eco-friendly amenities and practices that reflect our commitment to the environment, from locally sourced breakfasts to our electric vehicle charging station. We take pride in supporting our community through our sustainable initiatives and strive to provide an enjoyable experience for all guests.

Eco-Friendly Power

At our Watkins Glen bed and breakfast, we’re excited to offer complimentary electric vehicle charging for our guests. Say goodbye to range anxiety and hello to a full charge at our inn.

Our ClipperCreek HCS-50 EV Charger is a Level 2 charging station permanently mounted on our wall, with a minimum 50 Amp dedicated circuit capable of recovering up to 38 miles of range per hour of charging (depending on your EV make and model). Our 25-foot J1772 charging cable allows you to park in several spots in front of the Carriage House and keep your vehicle charged while you enjoy your stay with us. Every ClipperCreek Charging Station is safety certified by an independent Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) and built to automaker standards to ensure a reliable charge every time. Our charger is also compatible with all plug-in vehicles (some may need an adapter).

Enjoy your stay at Idlwilde Inn with the peace of mind that you can charge your electric vehicle at our inn. Contact us to learn more or book your stay today.

Farm-to-Table Breakfast

Our commitment to sustainability extends to our seasonal breakfast menus, as we take pride in sourcing our ingredients from nearby farms and markets. We serve eggs and meats from Red House Ranch, our fruits, vegetables and herbs come from Mangus Farms, A & L Farm Market, Hillside Produce and Greenhouse, Blue Spruce Greenhouse, and other local Amish and Mennonite farms and farmers markets. Even our maple syrup and honey are local! In fact, that’s why people love our coffee – it, too, is locally created by our coffee savant!

At Idlwilde Inn, breakfast is more than just a meal, it’s a reflection of our values and commitment to sustainable practices. Join us for a delicious, locally sourced breakfast.
