Instead of mulching the cast off canes, we partake in the ancient winemaking tradition of burning the canes in bonfires! Your ticket will gain you entry to three seatings at three different wineries – Winery A at 10am, Winery B at 1pm, and Winery C at 4pm. You will purchase a ticket to one grouping based upon the starting winery.

At each stop you’ll be welcomed to a seated, reserved tasting area. You and a small group (no more than 30 people per seating) of fellow wine enthusiasts will be treated to three wine and food pairings, featuring tapas-style dishes prepared by a local chef thoughtfully paired with only the best wines produced by our participating wineries. One of the most prestigious SportsCar races in North America, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns in late June with the Sahlen’s Six hours of the Glen. Thursday July 17-19, 2020 20th Annual Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance

The Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival is a mission-based (501-c3) organization that works to nurture local aritists and talent while reaching around the globe to bring world music and culture to new audiences, creating environments that inspire creativity and foster community building.

The festival is presented over a four-day period (Thursday-Sunday) on four stages, which run ridiculously long hours to accommodate the 80. some bands that play the festival. Grassroots doesn’t hesitate to bring you great music you’ve never heard before. Every year wonderful new bands are discovered and presented along with many old and true friends.

It is held at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds in Trumansburg.

Thursday July 23-26, 2020 The Grapehound Wine Tour

The Grapehound Wine Tour® is a six-day wine-tasting celebration of greyhound adoption held at Seneca Lake, New York, near Watkins Glen, every July.  All well-behaved sighthounds are welcome.  You do not have to drink wine or own a greyhound to attend.

The Grapehound Wine Tour® features music, a huge wedding tent with vendors from many states, a Welcome event with wine and hors d’oeuvres, delicious food from constantly changing local food vendors, a silent auction, a Blessing of the Hounds, an ice cream social, wine tasting, a huge social tent for just sitting and relaxing, and a commemorative greyhound wine glass for all registrants.  The event also features a scenic, fairly level walk to 215 foot Taughannock Falls on Sunday morning.

New York’s home for NASCAR makes its annual return to the Finger Lakes region for the Go Bowling at The Glen (August 13-16, 2020) tripleheader weekend. One of the most exciting weekends on the NASCAR calendar, the new 2020 date marks the third to last race before the NASCAR Playoffs as Chase Elliott drives for three consecutive wins at The Glen. In addition to Sunday’s race, don’t miss the Great Outdoors RV Superstore 100 ARCA Menards Series race on Friday afternoon, and Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race.

Friday August 21-23, 2020 East Coast Watercross Watkins Glen Race

East Coast Watercross hosts 10 rounds of racing which are held on 5 separate weekends throughout the summer, with each day making up one round of racing. A typical race day will see 10 or more classes of racers composed of different skill levels, ranging from beginners to pro riders, various watercraft types and ages starting as young as 10. Each class will race twice per day 2, once in the morning and once in the afternoon following a short lunch intermiss

Friday August 28-30, 2020 Ferrari Challenge North America

Ferrari Challenge North America (August 28-30, 2020) continues its season with a stop to the 3.4 mile circuit in 2020. The series was established in 1993 and the events are FIA-approved with high safety standards and excellent organization with the Italian manufacturer. The formula for the series, which insists on participants being dealers or authorized race shops, ensures close competition putting the focus on the drivers.

The featured highlight of the Festival is a tribute to the original Grand Prix races using the original 6.6 mile road course. Always a crowd pleaser, the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Tribute is designed to recreate the ambiance of the 1948-52 Watkins Glen street races. The race tribute is open to selected Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) cars participating in the Hilliard U.S. Vintage Grand Prix races held at the nearby Watkins Glen International race course on the same weekend as the festival.

You will be guided by Sam Mi in creating your own mason jar wood flower arrangement. Attendees will paint their mason jar, or leave it as it is, and choose from a variety of flowers and accents! While crafting, a complimentary beverage will also be included. This class is great to do with a friend or solo. Bundle up and step into a winter wonderland of over 25,000 pounds of ice meticulously carved into breathtaking ice sculptures, martini ice luges, and the coolest bars in town! Each year Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel hosts winter’s hottest party – our signature ICE Bar – to benefit a local charity.

Bringing much needed merriment to winter’s longest stretch, ICE Bar promises thrills and chills as our magnificent grounds are transformed into adult playgrounds punctuated by roaring fire pits. Inside, the fun continues as partygoers revel in great music, their favorite cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres. The evening ends with a blaze of color as fireworks streak across the sky. It’s an amazing and unforgettable night, which is why tickets always sell out quickly.

While an excellent networking opportunity, our generous host will also be providing local meats and cheese for grazing, discounts off both tastings and bottles, and will be giving away a bottle of their popular 2017 Angel’s share (a sparkling Vignoles) to one lucky winner!
